Glenwood Landing is a hamlet and census-designated place on the North Shore of Long Island in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, New York. The community is served by the North Shore School District. Formerly known as Littleworth and Newark, the post office was built Glenwood Landing in 1891. However, since it is one of the few post offices on Long Island that don’t offer a delivery service, residents must go pick up their own mail. The area is well known for the large electric-generating station.
