Searingtown is a suburb of New York City with a population of 4,593. Searingtown is in Nassau County and is one of the best places to live in New York. Searingtown is a small unincorporated neighborhood measuring slightly less than a square mile located in the town of North Hempstead in Nassau County on New York’s Long Island. It is in the greater Roslyn area, close to the village of Roslyn. Its borders are amorphous, as it is an unincorporated area. It shares a zip code, school district, and post office with the neighboring Albertson, and it is generally regarded as the nicer part of the same town. Essentially, it is the Eagleton to Albertson’s Pawnee. Searingtown is bordered to the north Roslyn Estates, to the east by Albertson, to the south by Herricks and Williston Park, and to the west by Manhasset Hills. Its borders are roughly defined by the Northern State Parkway, the Deepdale Parkway, Searingtown and Shelter Rock Road, and Oak Ridge Lane. Searingtown is an upper-middle-class neighborhood that is popular with families. Because of its proximity to the Long Island Expressway, it is an easy drive into Manhattan, taking only roughly 45 minutes. Those commuting by rail need only to travel to the neighboring Albertson to take the Long Island Rail Road.
